During his time at UTHSC, Dr. White received extensive surgical training in all facets of Otolaryngology as well as advanced sleep surgical training with one of the world’s foremost leaders in surgical treatments for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and snoring. Dr. White is passionate about taking a comprehensive and thoughtful approach to the treatment of OSA and other sleep-related disorders. He enjoys helping patients with OSA better tolerate CPAP when possible through optimization of the nasal airway. When patients are unable to tolerate CPAP, and alternative treatment options are required, Dr. White utilizes his expertise in drug induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) to offer surgical and non-surgical treatment options that are personalized to each patient’s unique upper airway anatomy. He is certified to implant the Inspire hypoglossal nerve stimulator and has been involved in research to optimize treatment outcomes. His expertise extends beyond sleep surgery to encompass all aspects of otolaryngology including medical and surgical management of nasal obstruction and sinus disease, pediatric otolaryngology, and head and neck care. As a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, International Surgical Sleep Society, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Dr. White is committed to staying at the forefront of his specialty.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. White enjoys hiking, spending time with family and friends, traveling, seeing live music, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. He is excited to be back in the metro-Atlanta area for practice and looks forward to helping adult and pediatric patients breathe easier and sleep better.
