Laura M. Genone, Au.D, CCC-A
Dr. Laura M. Genone is a licensed audiologist and Georgia native who has been practicing since 1995. She earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Communication Disorders from Auburn University, followed by a Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1993. In 2003, she became a member of the inaugural class to earn the Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree also from the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Genone’s professional journey has included work in a variety of settings, from large and small ENT practices across Metro Atlanta. Before joining North Atlanta ENT and Allergy, she served as a Clinical Faculty Supervisor at the University of Tennessee and worked extensively with pediatric patients in large pediatric practices in the area. She has a long-standing interest in pediatric audiology and finds particular fulfillment in helping children and their families navigate hearing challenges early on.
Her clinical expertise includes diagnostic audiometry and hearing aid services for both adults and children. While pediatrics remains her specialty and passion, she is also attuned to the unique needs of adult patients and values providing comprehensive, individualized care across the lifespan. She is a strong supporter of early identification and intervention of pediatric hearing loss, and values the role audiology plays in a child’s communication and development.
Dr. Genone is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A).
She is the proud parent of three children and enjoys creative outlets such as home design, DIY home improvement projects, and organizing. In her free time, she also loves to travel and has a passion for all things theater.
