Dr. Joel A. Hoffman has been practicing as an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist in the Cumming and Roswell area for the past 25 years. Dr. Joel A Hoffman is a double board-certified physician specializing in rhinology (nasal and sinus disorders) and sleep medicine.

Dr. Hoffman has helped develop an innovative procedure (nasal valve suspension suture) to correct nasal valve obstruction. Having performed over 1200 cases with a greater than 90% success rate, Dr. Hoffman is able to relieve nasal obstruction in many patients who fail traditional nasal surgery (correction of a deviated septum and reduction of the turbinates).

Dr. Mark B. Van Deusen is trained in all aspects of otolaryngology and sees patients in both Alpharetta and Cumming. His passion for practicing otolaryngology is evident in his many interests. He enjoys treating patients with sinus disease, nasal obstruction, and allergies. When medical management fails, Dr. Van Deusen is skilled in endoscopic sinus surgery, Septoplasty, and rhinoplasty techniques. Dr. Preston Imhof, a board-certified Otolaryngologist specializing in head and neck surgery, has comprehensive expertise in all aspects of general Otolaryngology. His primary areas of focus include sinus disease, sinus surgery, nasal conditions and allergies. Depending on the complexity and severity of the medical condition, he can conduct in-office procedures such as balloon sinuplasty for enhanced sinus drainage, and various other methods to improve nasal respiration.

Dr. Hafiah Eltahir is a distinguished professional with an extensive background in Otolaryngology-head and Neck Surgery. Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, she graduated from the University of Alabama and attended the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her medical school accomplishments include induction into the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society and receiving the Dean’s Award. She underwent rigorous surgical training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, garnering expertise in all areas of Otolaryngology. Her practice focuses on treating patients with sinonasal and salivary gland diseases, along with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), for which she is certified in Inspire implantation surgery. Dr. Eltahir plans to start an Inspire sleep program at North Atlanta ENT and Allergy. Currently, she is excited to serve both adult and pediatric patients in the metro-Atlanta area.

Christopher A. Lord, MD was born in Tennessee, but was raised in New England, where he spent the majority of his childhood in both New Hampshire and Maine. He pursued his pre-medical studies at Duke University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Thereafter, he spent a few years working in two different laboratories at Duke, exploring and immersing himself in a variety of biomedical research experiences. Read more about Dr. Lord

Hiral Patel recently joined NAENT & Allergy in 2019 to continue providing her patients of all ages, the care and comfort of meaningful medicine. Her passion is driven by the bond she builds with her patients and the enjoyment she holds in keeping them healthy and well. Hiral was elected as one of the top midlevel providers in Best of Forsyth 2019. She is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistant and Georgia Association of Physician Assistants. Sally Sfeir is a Physician Assistant Specialist in Georgia. She graduated with honors in 2018. Arlene Hicklin, Au.D., CCC-A, a GA licensed audiologist, joined our practice in February 2023. She earned her B.A. in Communications of Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida and her doctorate in Audiology from the University of South Florida. A member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), she holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence. Before joining North Atlanta ENT and Allergy, she worked with other ENT practices, conducting diagnostic audiometry for both children and adults. Dr. Hicklin takes pleasure in counseling patients about their hearing issues, emphasizing early intervention, and assisting them on their journey with hearing aids.

Elizabeth Mallcott, CCC – A, is a GA licensed audiologist who joined our practice in March 2019. A native of Georgia, she has an undergraduate degree in speech language pathology from the University of West Georgia. Katie H. Mawhinney, Au.D, CCC-A, a Georgia-based audiologist, has been with North Atlanta ENT and Allergy since 2021. She obtained her B.S. Ed in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of West Georgia and was part of the first Audiology doctoral class at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2008. Before her current role, she worked across various ENT practices in Metro Atlanta, gaining experience in diagnostic audiometry and hearing aid fitting for adults. A member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), she advocates early hearing loss treatment. Outside work, she enjoys outdoor activities with her family.
